MTUME UMOJA "ALKEBU - LAN" (US-Strata-East) MEGA RARE 1971 2 Lp thick gatefold private pressing from the USA underground scene... Flipped-out cats in a bag, think Funkadelic's MAGGOT BRAIN on acid...Charming lo-fi production sets the tone for this lost in space relic ...Long long winding jammed up tracks in ground swelling instrumentations, complex acid-jazz-underground freak-outs all over the place, lots of percusions, stoned trippy atmospheres, voice recitations & way-out voice ramblings in between chaotic & primitive psychedelia. "Flipped-out" would be a good description to what's going on with the four sides here ...! Never seen this one before, one of those lost in the ozones private pressings that will drive the biggest of collectors to interest with these vintage underground sounds! Interesting, highly compelling item with primitive psych-out sounds that grabs one's attention, wide appeal to collectors for the fact that it fits in the bag of lost garage, psych, progressive zones... think lots of high-wire electricity within raw jams & crude production that fits the vintage private press mode of long ago so perfectly...
