Muddy Waters (McKinley Morganfield) "Back In The Early Days", Volumes 1 and 2. Syndicate Chapter S.C. 001/2 (1971). Double LP gatefold album. Record 2 (sides 3 and 4) are "test pressings". It came this way from the factory. I purchased this album new in the early/mid 1970's, lightly played. I have recently cleaned it and tested all tracks on both records, plays great (some scuff marks). The album cover is made from very thin cardboard, ring wear on the front and back gatefold, shelf wear on the corners/edges. There is a dark spot near the upper left front cover. There are original price stickers on the front and back gatefolds. There is an underlined sentence in ink on the front cover, the inside left cover has numerous markings in ink (please see the photos).  The paper inner sleeves are in good condition, some creasing and yellowing. The side 1 and 2 factory labels are unmarked. The "test pressing" white labels were marked with "SIDE 3" and "SIDE 4" in ink (I believe this was done at the factory).
The LPs are in a new anti-static clear sleeves placed on the outside of the album cover in a clear 3 Mil outer sleeve with a cardboard stiffener (200 lb. corrugation) and packaged in a 12" LP shipping mailer (made from 200 lb. test corrugated cardboard with 32 lb. ECT (edge crush test).
I was very fortunate to greet and shake hands with Muddy Waters while attending his live performance at the Euphoria Nightclub, May 1978 in Portland Oregon.
