Well I don't want to do it but my collection is getting way out of hand and I need to downsize. My loss is your gain. This is the very limited Chess-nut Brown version, sold only at Third Man Records  storefronts, reissue of Muddy Waters' "Electric Mud". It has never been removed from it's plastic sleeve and is therefore unplayed.

Third Man Records is proud to announce the reissue of Muddy Waters' fifth studio album Electric Mud, which comes as a continuation of Third Man's partnership with Universal Music Group/Chess Records and the Estate of Muddy Waters.

The album, which Chess originally released in 1968 has not seen a legitimate domestic vinyl release since 2002, despite its enormous influence on generations of blues rockers. It features members of Rotary Connection as Muddy's backing band and was very controversial upon its release for its fusion of electric blues with psychedelic elements. The album is now recognized as a forward-thinking classic, sampled extensively by artists like The Black Keys and Gorillaz.

The deluxe version of the reissue will come in "Chess-nut Brown" vinyl, with a hand screen-printed black matte jacket with silver type (a recreation of the rare, first pressing variant), a 2-panel foldout poster, and a reproduction of the original "eight pager" booklet. The standard edition will come in black vinyl, with a gatefold vinyl jacket in its original black-on-white color scheme, and a four-panel foldout poster.

The standard reissue will be available everywhere via Third Man Records on November 17th, with a deluxe version available at Third Man Records’ Nashville and Detroit storefronts as well as Reckless Records in Chicago and the Muddy Waters official online store, while supplies last.
