There are a handful of landmark albums in any genre. In the blues, one of them is Muddy Waters' Folk Singer. Originally released in 1964, Folk Singer was the only acoustic album Waters ever recorded, thus becoming the first and perhaps best blues concept album ever.
A small run of 45 rpm Clarity Pressings of Muddy Waters "Folk Singer" were produced in anticipation of releasing a Clarity 45 rpm version ofthe title. The 4 single sided 45 rpm pressings, packaged in white boxes and complete with a tip on style jacket inside were recently uncovered in a clean up and are now being offered for sale for the first time. This may ultimately become the most rare and sought after Classic Records title as it was never released in Clarity as a 45 rpm set and only a small quantity exist.
