Description

Mudhoney "Touch Me I'm Sick" / "Sweet Young Thing Ain't Sweet No More" - SIGNED by Mark Arm!

1988

7" - 45 RPM

Sub Pop Records

Third Edition

Vinyl: M
Cover: M

Mint copy of Mudhoney’s debut single on Sub Pop. This is the “Third Edition” version, made extra special by the fact that Mark Arm has autographed it! Rather artistically, too (see pic).

Let’s face it, these guys invented grunge and no one ever did it better. We’re also throwing in a couple of more recent Mudhoney promo bumperstickers, by the way, as a little bonus.

PLUS... Mark Arm Mixtapes (3 cassettes)

No one has made a more personal donation to the WFMU auction than Mudhoney lead singer Mark Arm. Here are 3 homemade mixtapes, personally created by Mark, that date from the early 90s, back in the early days of Mudhoney. These very tapes were probably played in the Mudhoney tour van as they spread their sickness throughout the U.S. They show Mark’s wide-ranging tastes, definitely very much in a freeform vein.

Our personal favorite of the three is “Make Out Music Vol. XVII.” Not only does it boggle the mind that there were 16 previous volumes, but it sure does give one pause to think that Mark’s seduction serenades include Scratch Acid, the Birthday Party, and Captain Beefheart!

The tapes break down as follows:

- “Make Out Muisc Vol. XVII” (Maxell, 100 m.) features Captain Beefheart, Pere Ubu, Royal Trux, the Troggs, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Love, Pink Floyd, Scratch Acid, 100 Flowers, Sly and the Family Stone, and many more.

- “Notes and Chords Mean Nothing to Me” (Maxell, 90 m.) features the Celibate Rifles, Black Flag, Motorhead, Jimmy Reed, Dead Moon, the Adverts, Loop, Girlschool, Lubricated Goat, and many more.

- “27 Intergalactic Classics” (Maxell, 90 m.) features Duke Ellington, Parliament Funkadelic, Lefty Frizell, Charles Mingus, the Kinks, the O’Jays, Moby Grape, The Fugs, DEVO, and many more.

How often do you get to listen to your rock hero’s record collection? Bid now!
