Charles Munch & The BSO - THE FRENCH TOUCH - Rca LSC-2292 - SD 2s/1s - EXTREMELY RARE!
On this disc you will hear the loving control Munch brought the BSO, and, as a result, you will hear how the BSO loved playing for him.
It's a great program, too, that includes Dukas SORCERER'S APPRENTICE, Saint-Saens OMPHALE'S SPINNING WHEEL, and Ravel MOTHER GOOSE SUITE.
That said, this is the first-stamper, shaded-dog release, one of the rarest in the early Living Stereo catalog.
This hard-to-find copy is indeed very fine, the cover without any fault, crisp and clean, while the record within should play near mint.
(Note, that on one side of this disc the previous owner had a runaway stylus that traversed the entire side. It does not look deep and should not prove a hindrance sonically, though do note it.)
One of the few, rare Rca issues that will always remain incredibly hard to come by.
