Description

Original white label with light grey/blue banner with Riverside identification. Also,  the 2 reels plus microphone logo at the top of the label, deep groove, mono. Billy Grauer Productions. 12 tracks with leader, Mundell Lowe, guitar; Al Klink, flute and bass clarinet (on Side 1, Tracks 1 & 4, Side 2, Track 3); Phil Bodner, oboe and French horn (on Side 1, Tracks 3 & 6, Side 2, Tracks 1 & 6); Trigger Alpert, bass; Ed Shaughnessy,drums. 1 Track is an unaccompanied solo by Lowe.  Record on 2 dates in 1956,

Cover: VG+ Clean with 6" scotch tape repair on the top edge. This is barely visible.. Very light aging and corner wear. Small discoloration mark at the bottom of the back cover.

Record: VG++ to Mint(-)  Visually shows no wear. A very small number of light brush-like surface rub marks. These are extremely faint and occur at the beginning of Side 2. The record appears to have been played only 2 or 3 times with care.  On Side 1, Track 1,1 faint click, barely audible. Track 2, 1 faint click and 1 more audible click. On Track 3,3 isolated light clicks and 2 or 3 faint clicks at the end of the Track. On Track 5, slight groove noise on the last revolution. Track 6, 3 or 4 faint, isolated clicks and 2 more audible clicks on the last revolution. On Side 2, Track 1, 2 faint clicks, barely audible and 2 or 3 very light clicks at the end of the Track. On Track 2, several faint clicks at the beginning of the Track. Track 3, 1 light click, barely audible and 1 click near the end of the Track. Track 4 ( the unaccompanied solo Track), 2 or 3 faint, isolated clicks. Track 5, 1 very light click near the beginning of the Track. Track 6, 1 faint click about mid Track and 1 faint click, barely audible at the end of the Track. This is a detailed summary. Please note that almost all the noise is very light and is most likely a function of this early Riverside issue. Audibly checked.
