Yes....Up for grabs we have a superior and complete set of Country / Folk Blues albums, issued by the Folkways Label in the mid to late 50s.  These were field recordings taken in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi by FREDERIC RAMSEY Jr who conducted an extensive field documentary of them.  A true masterwork. All country blues aficionados must surely be aware of this monumental and rare set.   These were purchased in the 1990s (along with many other blues records/books and signed records) at a jazz blues record fair in New Jersey from a seller who did not care for them (he only collected/sold 78s).  Since I bought them, I have probably only listened to them once or twice and they have been stored away.  As far as I know, these have never been reissued on vinyl and are the first and only pressings (from the 50s).
They are the following:

Please note that this is all VISUAL GRADING, as I no longer have a turntable to play them.   I have tried to describe them to the best of my ability, so if you have any questions, please do ask.  Some of the albums contain postcards for which to send for more information.
In addition to the records, there are 10 booklets (not the original ones included with the records, but rather sent to me from the Smithsonian in the late 90s) of information, liner notes and photography that accompanied the originals- essentially reproductions of the original booklets.  These are in Near Mint condition and are complete. 
Finally, there is the accompanying book by Frederic Ramsey Jr. entitled "Been Here and Gone" in paperback in good condition, but has wear to the spine and edges.  There is also a phone number written in pen on the back (who knows?  it could be fred ramsey' junior or son house's number...).  A very beautiful and nostalgic book to look through, and a surefire great thing to look at while listening to the ten records....
So, that's what i have to offer you.  A great set, probably the best set of blues records ever.  You know why there's a high price, of course- when does a complete set in this great condition with all the booklets, postcards, and accompanying book comes along?  One wag had it for 2,000 bucks a while back and his were in VG condition.   You can have this enviable set for less...
Note that there is some reflection in the photos on the albums, that is because each album has a protective record sleeve.  They will be shipped with the sleeves.

Also, please do not make me any offers for this set.  It is heartbreaking enough having to let it go at this already deflated price.  You know and I know that this set comes along once every ten years?  Maybe less and never with each LP and all Smithsonian inserts (although not truly the original, but sent to me from the Smithsonian ten plus years ago) plus the book.
