This is the first Stereo pressing, Wide Band, Grooved, Original Recording by… on the label
The record is in EX condition, with only a few light sleeve withdrawal marks, I would not call them scuffs, and hairline marks, nothing feelable at all. The label shows a few spindle marks, so it has been played, but certainly well looked after.
The sleeve, which is very thin, shows the light impression of the disc but not ring wear, even on the unlaminated back. At the front opening it must have got caughtwhen being stored, as there are three small splits on the top opening, but only on the laminated side, and also at the bottom of the edge there is a small split. These could easily be repaired. The mostly white sleeve is slightly faded both on the front and back, but not worn or grubby,and would grade at VG+ It comes with the original inner sleeve.
I have a collection of 250+ classical LPs that I will be putting up on ebay over the next weeks. There are many rare items. Many SXL - ASD - SAX - RCA Living Stereo and other recordings, mostly original pressings. There are many sought after artists and conductors; Ida Haendel - Ruggiero Ricci - Campoli – Milstein- Furtwangler - Argenta - Kogan and others.
There is no way I can listen to all of these LPs. I will describe the records as exactly as I can and, in the case where I can see anything I would consider to be an issue with the vinyl, ie something that is very noticeable, I will play at least the affected part of that item and report the results. In describing them I will grade them as carefully, visually, as I can. If there are any issues I have missed they will be very small, as I will be looking at them carefully in bright light, with a critical eye. I do not guarantee they will be completely free of the occasional pop or click. However, I would expect that a good clean would improve the playback if there are any. Please bear in mind that these early Stereo pressings are 50 to 55 years old and will have accumulated some dust and dirt, however carefully they were kept. Also please bear the above in mind when bidding, Basically, I will try to describe them as carefully as if you were looking at them in a shop.
