Description
My Bloody Valentine, Isn’t Anything LP, 1988
Label: Creation
Catalogue Number : CRELP 040
Released: November 1987
Another gem from my personal collection and in superb condition. This very rare debut LP from My Bloody Valentine includes a free bonus 7" which was packaged in a plain white sleeve. Only a few hundred of these free sinlges were produced. The songs on it are titled "Instrumental A" (3:19) and "Instrumental B" (4:36). "Instrumental B" featured a Public Enemy drum loop (from "Security of the First World").
Some more background:
The Uncut writer David Stubbs called it "one of the most important, influential British rock albums of the Eighties". According to Wiki, while recording the album, the band got by on about two hours sleep a night, something which has been suggested is reflected in the vocals.
Released in November 1988, it reached no.1 in the UK indie album charts.
Vinyl:
I have play-graded (extremely loudly!) and would describe the audio and visual quality of the vinyl (both LP and single) as Mint. I have played both sides through and they play extremely cleanly This is a very honest appraisal – I would not describe a record as Mint or Near Mint etc. if it was unwarranted! Please see the gradings I use below.
Record Sleeve:
Sleeve is in Mint condition as can be seen in the photos above.
GRADINGS
* MINT- is superb, almost like new. No marks, scratches, clicks, noise, or anything else.
* EX is also VERY nice, 2-3 light marks perhaps, no disturbing noise, great sound quality.
* VG+, a nice player, but probably has some visual impairments, and some clicks or light noise in places; always see the individual description.
* VG: Rarely put of for sale, an ok copy, but always see the individual description.
