My Bloody Valentine: Isn’t Anything LP
Official 2018 all analogue remastered LP including the rare additional limited edition alternative cut given away with the first few hundred pre orders purchased from the bands official online shop.
Mastered from the original ¼" analog tapes using Studer A80 VU-PRE and Neumann VMS 80 lathe.
Comes in a beautiful heavy weight, high quality tip-on style gatefold sleeve with poly lined printed inner sleeve. The additional cut comes in a plain white cardboard sleeve so I have placed the record in a Japanese style anti static sleeve that sits nicely inside the cardboard and protects it from getting scratched/ scuffed when you slide it in and out.
After comparing these to my Creation records original pressing it was a very close call, but I think the original press just edges it so I’ve decided to sell these and stick with what I’ve got. If I didn’t have an original I would definitely be happy with these.
The sleeves are in mint condition and the main LP is still in the shrink wrap and was carefully slit open to get the inner sleeve and record out. Both records have been professionally cleaned in my record cleaning machine using the award winning L’Art Du Son cleaning fluid to remove all static and chemical residues left over from the factory pressing. They are now in the best possible condition for the next owner to enjoy.
Both LPs have been test played twice through and play beautifully with no skipping, sticking or jumping.To be honest these all analogue remasters overseen by Kevin Shields sound absolutely superb. I (like many others) actually prefer the alternative cut/ test pressing to the official version. They both sit perfectly flat on the deck and we’re tested on a Project Debut Carbon fitted with an Ortofon 2M Blue stylus. It’s a matter of taste or possibly what I’m used to but I just prefer my original.
I will send these out tracked postage in proper LP mailers so that no damage can happen to them in transit. I will post free to buyers in the U.K.
