Description

Due to being laid off from work, I am parting with some of my collection to help pay the bills....


This auction is for the super rare "Geek!" 7" by "My Bloody Valentine". Geek! is the second EP by My Bloody Valentine, and their first to feature bass player Debbie Googe. It is signed by Kevin Shields, Debbie Googe and Colm O'Ciosoig. I personally had this signed at MBV's concert at St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit, MI in the spring of 1992, during their last tour of North America until this year! They were very nice and signed several records for me before their show that night. (Which was absolutely amazing!!!) It is only signed by the three members that played on this single. Please note - This is not signed by Bilinda Butcher as she had not yet joined the band when this was released, she was also very nice and signed newer MBV releases for me that day. I never thought that I would part with any of these, but bills need to be paid.

The sleeve is a bit scuffed (was that way before I got it signed) but is flat and intact, I would say in very good condition. The vinyl has some surface scratches and small scuffs but play very nicely with some slight popping on the A side. The single plays well on all three on my turntables. It was released in December 1985 on Fever Records (FEV5X). Side 'A' is "No Place To Go" and side 'B' is "Moonlight". This is a very nice addition to any My Bloody Valentine fan's collection!

Shipping & Handling -- I usually like to wait until the auction has ended and them go to the post office with the package, find out the exact cost and relate it to the buyer (the receipt for shipping is sent in the package!). I find this the fairest way to charge for shipping, however, people kept complaining that they wanted to know in advance what it would cost to ship the item. I live in Windsor, Ontario (right across the border from Detroit) and I have taken the packaged 7" over to the Post Office by my house already. They told me that to know exactly how much the shipping would cost, they would need to know the destination postal or zip code. They were willing to make approximations for me.... So ordinary shipping to Canada would be approx. $8, faster shipping with signatures and insurance would be approx. $14. For the United States ordinary shipping would be approx. $10, faster shipping with signatures and insurance would be approx. $16. Remember, I will be finding out the exact cost as soon as the auction ends and I have your shipping info, so that you will not pay me more than necessary and I will not have to bite any shipping costs.
