Up for auction is this original issue 45rpm rockabilly classic record on the Sun label # 223, "Mystery Train" b/w "I Forgot To Remember To Forget" by Elvis Presley with Scotty [Moore} and Bill [Black}. This is Elvis' last Sun record which never had the so-called "pin marks". The dead wax numbers are 45-U-156 x and 45-U-157 x. Both numbers are followed by a smaller number 20. I've attempted to photograph the dead wax numbers. Comes in an original Sun Record Company sleeve. Shipping by media mail is $4. + 1. for each additional LP, 45s: $4. + .50 for each additional 45. Notes added Jan 10: This paper sleeve is an original Sun Record Company sleeve but was not issued with this record. The original sleeve for this record was plain brown paper. Also, this copy does not have the triangle in the dead wax area which appeared on copies pressed at the West Coast pressing plant. According to the website: 706unionavenue.nl/142232437, “Generalising about Sun records, those pressed on the west coast usually have a triangle or ''delta'' sign incorporated with the matrix number, which would not be present on a Memphis pressing.” It also does not appear to be a Philadelphia pressing plant copy. According to the website: elvisrecords.us/sun-mystery-train-i-forgot-to-remember-to-forget/, copies with the record number 223 to the right, “May have M.S.I. in the dead wax. M.S.I Company was a Philadelphia pressing plant which, along with overflow orders from Sun, also pressed East Coast Imperial and Specialty label records. Phillips used M.S.I for many pressings in the later 1950's.”
