MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Reprise Records very first Mono press released by Reprise Records, made and distributed in Chile in 1968 by Philips Chilena S.A. (Philips Records, uncredited), licensed from Reprise Records, USA, through Warner Bros. Records Inc., USA, catalog number 3244, with hand etched matrix numbers 3244-A AA in Side A and 3244-B AA in Side B, with traditional red/brown/black Reprise Records labels, with red “Reprise” and white rim text, and push-out center. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“Things”, originally written and sung by Bobby Darin, was released by Nancy Sinatra in December 1967 in USA in the 6-tracks EP “Movin’ With Nancy” (Reprise SR 6277) and we had to wait until 1968 to see this song released here in Chile, but we got it in a single, not an EP. As you can see we also got an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, made of a single hard paper folded in the middle with back cover pasted on the flips of front cover. You can see the notch in front cover, so I guess this cover was inverted, because the notch should have been in back cover to let the mouth to be at right side. Front and back cover keep the same design. Which’s the exact artwork of the US EP already informed, but here in Chile it’s only black and white, with the title “Ellos Y Nancy” (Them And Nancy) and the same mention to her TV program at right top corner, written in Spanish: “Soundtrack From Her Extraordinary Show On TV”, with the names of Dean Martin and Lee Hazlewood and the song ttiles at bottom edge, with “Lady Bird” written in English only. In labels, song titles are written in Spanish only the song “Thins” and English only the song “Lady Bird”, with full credits for songwriters and additional information about licenses. If you know the discography by Nancy Sinatra, the song “Lady Bird” was a single released in October 1967 and these songs included in the same single were RELEASED ONLY IN CHILE. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE and UNIQUE PRESS of this single by Nancy Sinatra, ONLY RELEASED IN CHILE, with UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, a record almost never seen and A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Nancy Sinatra and in this case of Dean Martin and/or Lee Hazlewood too!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in EX or EX+ condition, with very light ring marks, some creases, some wear in all edges, more evident in corners, with all seams solid and without splits. The record is in VG+ or EX- condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many scuffs, hairlines and very light scratches, hard to see at first sight, which don’t affect play at all, with the push-out center intact. Labels on both sides are in great EX- or EX condition, clean and clear, with only some spindle hole wear and faint discoloration, more evident in Side A. The sound is in strong EX- or EX condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with constant very soft crackles and some occasional light clicks, barely audible, more evident in the last seconds of the song, and in EX+ or NM- condition the Side B, loud. Clear and clean, with only minimal occasional soft crackles, which don’t cause any distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is still a great record in this MEGARARE and UNIQUE PRESS, with an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE free of marks, with a record with still a nice glossy look, almost immaculate labels and still great sound quality, which will satisfy any serious collector!!! And keep in mind this record with these songs was ONLY RELEASED IN CHILE and it has an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending on thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first.
