Debut album by the muse of Bossa Nova, Nara Leão. Contains songs by the young Edu Lobo, Carlos Lyra, Vinicius de Moraes, Baden Powell, Cartola and others ...

Nara chose here to delve into the music of the favelas, recording sambas de morro by the likes of Ze Keti, Nelson Cavaquinho and Cartola, as well as material by established and upcoming bossa songwriters.

An absolutely beautiful album! Smart, warm arrangements, and Baden Powell on guitar on one track.

Rare original Brazil LP. Cover has some traces of dust on it, residue from a removed sticker at the back cover (see picture) = E-

Record has only some short scuffs on the first track of side 1, otherwise the record is in excellent condition = E

Grading scale : M-, E, VG, G. +/- for differentiation.

Unless otherwise noted, my records are play-graded. I play through all records on a Technics SL-QD33 with a Technics P30 stylus. Grading and comments on sound are purely my opinion and therefore subjective. The same record/LP may sound different on another system or setup. Please contact me with any questions. Ask before bidding/buying!

All of my records are carefully packed in sturdy cardboard mailers. I will add two cardboard supports, and the record will be out of sleeve to prevent seam splits.
