Hi and welcome to my auction item. I am clearing out a further batch of vinyl and reluctantly selling off loads of my rarities, so keep checking - there may be several of interest at very competitive prices.
I aim to give an honest description of each item and grade the condition as accurately as possible. Opening price (or fixed price, where Buy It Now) is fair and realistic, and is based on
the value or rarity of the record.
I post to the UK only, and usually post out the first working day after payment is received.
Firstly, in response to a few enquiries I've had about this record, this is the original release that came out in 1974. It's not an unauthorised re-press nor is it the more recent re-issue on 111 Records. It's been in my collection for all those 42 years.
Secondly, now included in the sale is a copy of the 8 page promotional biography issued around the same time as the album. This is in very good condition considering its age - has minor creasing and slight staining on the front page but otherwise all fine and gives an interesting insight into the group, with great pics as well. This is extremely rare - I've not seen any other seller offering the biography with previous album sales.
The album a rare slice of prog/folk on the specialist Myrrh label (MYR1007), this is Narnia with their self-titled LP from 1974. Narnia, a short lived UK group, featured Pauline Filby who sang lead and wrote all but one of the songs on this album.
The group also featured Tim Hatwell and Kenneth Dixon, as well as John Russell and Pete Banks, both of whom went on to have a loyal following and enjoy minor chart success in the UK and Europe as members of After The Fire.
Right history over, on to the record. It's in good condition with clean vinyl and label, has light surface scratches but plays fine. The cover is a little grubby and shows some wear and creasing, although for a 42 year old it's in pretty good shape.
I've known of copies of this album being sold for in excess of £150, so my Buy it Now price for the LP and biog is excellent value. I will consider sensible close offers so have a bid - yours could be lucky!
