From the personal archive of noted James Brown historian Alan Leeds.
The early, funky James Brown Band recording for Henry Stone's Miami based Dade label under drummer Nat Kendrick's name so Brown didn't violate his contract with King Records who were unenthusiastic about Brown's instrumentals. Band features Brown's first great tenor saxophonist, J. C. Davis.
