Description
Very rare collectible for fans of either THE LETTERMEN or NAT KING COLE (or both)! The JULY 1964 PROMO-ONLY CAPITOL RECORDS VINYL LP new release sampler, SILVER PLATTER SERVICE (Sides 113 & 114), featuring music and interviews hosted by JACK WAGNER, and sent out exclusively ONLY to RADIO STATIONS! Side One features an INTERVIEW with THE LETTERMEN, plus their then-latest recordings of Go Away Little Girl and Blue Moon. Also included are then-new trax by JUNIOR MANCE (Jubilation), JACQUELINE BANNO (L'Homme A La Pipe), GEORGE SHEARING (Dream), and FREDDY MARTIN (Charade). Side One 24 minutes in length. Side Two (24:10) is all NAT KING COLE, and includes a RARE INTERVIEW WITH NAT & HIS ADOPTED SON, NAT KELLY COLE (NAT SR. died less than 8 months after this interview; sadly, NAT JR. passed away in 1995 from AIDS at the age of 36) plus trax from his then-latest full length album, My Fair Lady, including With A Little Bit of Luck, I Could Have Danced All Night, I'm An Ordinary Man, On The Street Where You Live, Get Me To Church On Time, and Hymn To Him. Cover in beautiful, clean VG+ condition. Top-left corner seam exhibits some wear/tear. Textured front cover. Vinyl in nice VG+ condition.

OUR "VISUAL" VINYL GRADING SCALE (Grading is usually based on the "look" of the vinyl; we normally do not have the time to listen to each record and grade its "sound"):
(SS) STILL SEALED. Original factory seal.
(M) MINT: Perfect, flawless, new
(NM) NEAR MINT: Almost perfect, possibly no more than a few MINOR scuffs, wrinkles or wear.
(VG++) Very Good++. Less quality than Near Mint, but still in beautiful condition.
(VG+) Very Good+. Some scratches or scuffs, some surface markings, some wear, etc. Nice overall.
(VG) Very Good. Too many scratches, scuffs, or wear for VG+, but still in okay condition.
(VG-) Very Good-. Lots of wear (scratches, etc.). Starter copy.
(G) Good. Wrecked. Excessive wear.
(P) Poor. Just what it says.
