Capitol PCR-8370.
3LP MONO Box Set. (U.S.A.)
BACH: The 6 Sonatas & Partitas for Solo Violin BWV. 1001-1006.
NATHAN MILSTEIN (solo violin).
These LP's were cleaned on a VPI professional-model record cleaner and PLAY GRADED!
CONDITION:
RECORD 1 is in EXCELLENT Condition. It plays just short of MINT-. There is a very-visible radial mark at the very beginning of Side 6, but it barely sounds and only during the first revolution of the record.
RECORD 2 is also in EXCELLENT Condition. There are a few visible blemishes to note, though. There is a very-light needle-drop on Side 2/Track 1, but it does not affect play of the record. On Side 5/Track 2 there is a very-long visible scratch, but it, too, does not affect play. There are also 2 small 1/4 scuffs on the same track, which also do not sound. Record 2 plays nice, but just has some slight visible blemishes.
RECORD 3: Side 3 is also in EXCELLENT Condition. There are a few lightly-visible scuffs which were just caused by the inner-sleeve, and which do not affect the play of the record.
Side 4 contains the only serious blemish in this set. Throughout, it plays the same as the other 5 sides, however, on Track 1, there is a very-bad looking 1/-inch scratch which ticks 21 times. Honestly, although it is very audible, it's not as bad as I thought it would be from the looks of the mark. Unfortunately, though, it is there and is the only real defect in this box set.
The Cover is in Beautiful MINT- Condition. The front and the back are sturdily attached.
Overall, this is a really nice-sounding copy of this LP, with only the bad mark on Side 4 being the only unfortunate blemish. See image(s) below.
