# VINTAGE CLASSICAL AUDIO AUDIOPHILE AUCTION

Up for auction is a highly sought-after, holy grail piece of classical violin history: **Nathan Milstein’s definitive performance of J.S. Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas for Unaccompanied Violin.**

This is the historic, **1957 original US first pressing 3-LP Box Set** released by Capitol Records. It features the legendary, audiophile-preferred **Dark Green labels with the Gold Perimeter Band**, boasting the iconic "Full Dimensional Sound / Incomparable Hi-Fidelity" (FDS) branding.

## Album Details:

* **Artist:** Nathan Milstein (Violin)

* **Composer:** Johann Sebastian Bach

* **Label:** Capitol Records

* **Catalog Number:** PCR 8370 (3-LP Box Set)

* **Pressing Details:** 1st Edition, Dark Green/Gold FDS Labels, Mono

## Condition Report (Visual Grading):

* **Vinyl Surfaces:** All three discs retain a stunning, deep, mirror-like factory gloss. They appear exceptionally clean with only a few faint, superficial paper wisps/sleeve marks from careful historical handling. No deep or feelable scratches visible

* **Labels:** Beautifully preserved, dark green and gold color alignment. Completely clean spindle holes with minimal to no spindle trails.

* **Outer Box/Jacket:** The outer box frame is structurally solid and holds its form perfectly. The front artwork is vibrant. Shows minor vintage shelf wear, light corner rubbing, and typical age-toning consistent with a well-preserved 1950s collection. (Please see high-resolution photos for exact edge and spine details).

* **Inclusions:** Includes the original booklet insert, which is completely intact and crisp.
