Description

Up on auction is an ORIGINAL 1959 CAPITOL RECORDS PRESS  FULL DIMENSIONAL STEREO U.S. LP titled MILSTEIN MASTERPIECES containing performances of six various pieces for violin and orchestra as performed by virtuoso violinist NATHAN MILSTEIN with the Concert Arts Orchestra...conducted by WALTER SUSSKIND.  It is Capitol Records FULL DIMENSIONAL STEREO catalog number SP-8528...heavy rigid vinyl pressing, laminated front cover slick, early black Capitol records label with silver print and rainbow border, and logo on the right side of labels.

CONDITION:

COVER is a solid VG with a clean front color slick with no writing and very light ring wear...can't really see the ring wear at all.  The back black and white cover has clear text and no writing with slight ring and age wear.  The border has some corner and upper right side clear tape from original owner.  The back seam is aged and has some flacking but is 90% there.  Bottom does not have seam splits but upper had a split that is repaired...some upper flacking as well.  Although there is age it is in SOLID VG condition and displays well.

VINYL is VG+ and is play graded at VG+ with no skips or jumps...no scratches that cause skips...plenty of gloss and shine.  Cleaned on a Nitty Gritty...clean sound with slight background sounds in-between tracks.  Label is clean and free of writing...has slight spindle wear.  There are scuff marks from years of play...but a reasonable priced copy of a VERY RARE RECORD.  Record graded under bright light.
