NATHAN MILSTEIN vignettes - LEON POMMERS CAPITOL P 8396 - MINT
You are looking at a copy of Milstein Vignettes. This Capitol P-8396 is extremely rare and virtually impossible to find in mint condition (of course it's NOT in shrink wrap) and that applies to the cover as well. However, due to age and some fading, I will grade the cover as NM (remember, this is a vintage LP so I am allowed a little license here).
The vinyl appears to be Mint with the early green & gold Capitol label. With Nathan Milstein (violin) and Leon Pommers (piano), they play Wieniawski, Falls, Ravel, Sarasate, Schumann, Bach, Novacek, Tchaikovsky, and Debussy. The performances are incomparible in their charm, discipline, and warm intensity. The close-up mono only sound is suberb, like Milstein playing a recital in your living room. This is a rare item seen elsewhere (NOT MINT) for close to $300. And, based on seller information, the $300 asking price includes a cover that is vastly inferior to this one. I DID NOT PLAY GRADE THIS ITEM SINCE IT APPEARS TO BE MINT!
