Description
Nearly FIFTY years ago, in 1973 (1974 here in the States), Scottish hard rock legends Nazareth released studio album number four. It was produced by Roger Glover, the bassist for Deep Purple. The record contains three covers: "This Flight Tonight" (written and originally done by Joni Mitchell), "The Ballad of Hollis Brown" (written and recorded by Bob Dylan), and the third cover is a tune written by George Lowell, titled "Teenage Nervous Breakdown", performed by his band Little Feat, and originally released a year before, by Little Feat, in 1972.
Nazareth was always known for their wild and trippy album covers. This one is the colorful peacock, and it's awesome! It's a Japanese import, though it doesn't say that anywhere on it, or on the backing card. There's small Kanji writing above the statement 'sample, not for sale', on the backing card. (Which makes me think it's a Japanese import.) Our friends in the far East have been creating picture discs from classic rock covers for a while now. And they usually sound amazing. They are also always made in EXTREMELY limited quantities, sometimes only one hundred made! Which is the reason why fans of these bands and albums snatch them up! And quick!!
In today's rockin' good deal, we have up for grabs a copy of that 70s rock milestone from Nazareth! It's that magnificent colorful peacock from the cover on the A side, and the song titles and credits on the B side. It also comes with its backing card, which is the album's artwork on the front of it, and a Nazareth discography (up to a certain point) on the back. Backing card is looking great, with no bends, rips, tears, or handwriting on it, at all! The actual vinyl is also in a like-new condition, and is still all shiny and clean! (I cannot vouch for the sound quality, as I never play picture discs or colored vinyl records.)
Would look great displayed, or hanging on a wall. Also, it could be the perfect gift for that loved one in your life who's a fan of Nazareth, and other 70s hard rock bands, or collectors of classic rock picture discs. Or grab this sweet collectible for yourself, because you know that collection of yours could use a new piece!
