Description

NAZZ - 'NAZZ.' STEREO.
UK 1st pressing on pale blue SGC/SCREEN GEMS labels. 221001. (1968).

Big collectors item. Rare as a UK pressing. In this condition it is super rare! This record marks the debut of Todd Rundgren in his Philadelphia based 'mod/psych' 4-piece combo. Great songs and fuzz guitar breaks.
Very 'Nuggets' worthy.

I bought this from a leading collectors shop in Hanway Street, London sometime in the early 1990's. It cost me a pretty penny.

UK non-laminated Gatefold sleeve grades EXCELLENT PLUS (EX+) condition. Intact, fully legible spine - so rare for a sleeve of this fragility and prone-ness to wear. The front gatefold is a single layer of thin card and retains a flat profile, with only one crease (bottom right). The rear gatefold is a doubled-over envelope style design (the disc slips in from the inside edge when gatefold sleeve is open). Clean and solid condition with only very minor signs of handling and storage wear.

The
front of sleeve displays no major signs of ring wear which is very unusual, just some very light rubbing where the black ink has been stored against other albums. (As with all my records, it has been carefully stored in a PVC protector sleeve since I have owned it). The spine is fully intact and legible with barely any wear at all. The reverse of the sleeve is also free of ring wear and has no issues. This is in amazing condition and is seldom seen as a UK pressing. Quite beautiful.

Vinyl grades EXCELLENT (EX) to EXCELLENT PLUS (EX+) condition. A superb example of this very impactful progressive mod-psych-rock record. Smooth pale blue SGC labels look clean and vibrant. The vinyl shows 'marbling' on one side. This is fairly common with some 1960's pressings. It looks like the vinyl in liquid form was not mixed together properly. It does not affect the playback or performance of the record. Being so rare I have never been able to compare it to another UK pressing as this is the only one I've found.

You will find it hard to locate a better example. The winner will be very pleased indeed. It sounds fantastic!

Includes the original blue and white 'stereo' poly-lined inner sleeve.

Vinyl weight: 148 grams.
