On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Neil Innes called "Taking Off" and is an INCREDIBLY rare 1977 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Arista label!!!! THIS LP IS EXTREMELY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE!!!! IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS ON RELEASE AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!! AS A RESULT IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE TODAY!!!! NOT ONLY THAT BUT IT IS IN SUPERB CONDITION!!!! THIS IS THE 1977 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS ARISTA LABEL, 1ST PRESS 'LYRIC' INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS COVER!!!! THIS LP IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND - SO DONT MISS THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! The Cat. No is SPARTY 1004 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Arista label (see picture) and is a Stereo 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are Pure quality Neil Innes at his best!!!! Any fan of Neil Innes, The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, or 60s/70s music in general, will want to have this in their collection - especially in this condition!!!!
The record labels are in AWESOME condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in STUNNING condition!!!! Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, 1 MEGA light wispy scuffline, and only a VERY few of the VERY lightest paper scuffs only visible under EXTREME light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!! It plays with NO pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! The sound quality is simply AWESOME with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!! The record must grade FULL Excellent if not better!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Lyric' inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition and most importantly UNSPLIT!!!! The 1st Press Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edgewear (apart from a VERY unnoticeable amount towards the bottom right hand corner - NOT through the colour), NO spinal wear, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking), and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in STUNNING condition with NO yellowing, NO writing, and NO grubbyness!!!! The cover must STRICTLY grade Very Good++++ if not better and is VERY hard to find in this condition!!!! THIS LP IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND AND MASSIVELY RARE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPRTUNITY!!!!
