Description
Super rare pair! The recalled 1st pressing of Neil Young's self-titled debut album (recorded in 1968) plus the bonus remastered version offered together.
RS 6317 – Released January 22, 1969. Original matrix using the Haeco-CSG mastering process. Front cover with image only, no title. Disc has two-tone Reprise Records album label and inner picture sleeve.
RS 6317 (RE-1) - Remixed, remastered and re-released in November 1969. Front cover with added “Neil Young” across the top border. Revised, standard monotone Reprise album label and plain white inner sleeve.
Condition – Both albums are mint. The initial pressing has had one reference listening of only a few tracks. The remastered version has never been played. The covers are excellent albeit for minor shelf-ware while in storage. The remastered version has a cut through the upper left corner which was standard practice for promotional copies. It's inner sleeve has a slight tear on the edge.
