What we have here is one-in-a-thousand alternate version pressing of Neil Young's greatest hits with an alternate, remixed (and by about half a minute longer than the commonly known) version of "When you dance, I can really love". What makes this album instantly identifiable and differentiates it from the common version, is the album title on the cover, which is in bright, lipstick-red script, rather than the customary gold-yellow script. According to Neil Umphread’s ‘Goldmine Price Guide to Collectible Record albums, fifth edition (Krause Publications, 1996), page 744, The version of this album which has brown label with the "RE-2" etched in trail-off vinyl (dead wax) has a rare extended, remixed version of the song "When you dance you can really love". The copy I have here corresponds to that description. I have played the album and, yes, the song in question clocks in at more than 4 minutes. We have a real, 100% genuine thing here. If you are a Neil Young fan, this is your Holy Grail - don't wait for someone else to snatch it away from you. “Harvest” this beauty now, before somebody else does.

(a)          THE VINYL IS IN DECENT, VERY GOOD (VG) CONDITION. CAUTION: The vinyl is NOT MINT or NEAR MINT, but is nevertheless in clean, playable condition. There are a few surface marks and abrasions, mostly light and superficial, although some may be longer than 1.1/4 inches  (1 inch = 2.5 centimeters) and a few others that might cause short periods of pops and clicks, specially during the low, quiet passages. Visible scratch noted on first two tracks on side 2 (Oh, Lonesome me and Don't let it bring you down)

(b)          The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(c)           The album comes with its original insert / lyrics sheet

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

THE COVER IS ABOUT VERY GOOD+(+)

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover has some light ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 4

-         Cover shows some light yellowing on both sides, apparently from aging   (nothing significant).  Yellowing is also noted on the INSIDE gatefold

-         The gatefold cover has partially split seams on 1 out of 4 "legs" of the cover (about 4 inches / 1 inch = 2.5 centimeters).

-         Visible shelf wear noted on the seams

-         Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spine (nothing significant)

-         Cover has three corners slightly worn / dinged / bent.

-         Cover has all four corners slightly worn / dinged / bent.

-         Cover has a visible "wrinkle"(crease)  in one of the corners.  (VISIBLE ON BACK SIDE ONLY)
