This is a vintage first pressing album of Neil Young's classic 1972 release "Harvest" that has the textured jacket and the insert with lyrics. This classic rock album was rated 79th Greatest Album in the 2005 edition of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. This album yielded Neil's only number one hit "Heart of Gold" and also "Od Man" both tracks featured additional vocals of  Linda Ronstadt and James Taylor. Additional vocals of David Crosby and Graham Nash are on "Are You Ready For The Country". Crosby and Stephen Sills added vocals to "Alabama" and Sills and Nash added vocals to "Words". The "Stray Gators" were the session musicians on the album> They consisted of Ben Keith on Steel Guitar, Kenny Buttrey on Drums, Jack Nitzsche on Piano on Slide Guitar, John Harris on Piano for Harvest, and Tim Drummond on Bass (Tim had played with James Brown). All songs were written by Neil Young.

The dead wax reflects "Sterling and LH" indicating this was the first pressing of this famous and classic album. The vinyl shows some light past use with a scuff or two that do not affect the overall sound other than some slight surface noise on quieter passages. Also noted is some small bubbling on the Side Two label. This vinyl is rated VG+. The generic inner sleeve is included and the "Harvest Neil Young" original lyric insert in NM condition.

The outer jacket is the original textured gatefold. The inner opened gatefold is in nice clean condition with no splits on the inner seam but some minor pinching on edge to front cover. The front cover looks good but has some peeling at middle of side seam (not split through). The back cover has a 6" seam split from top edge where record is inserted inward. The back cover is in nice condition featuring a textured photo and Neil and Band in action. This jacket would frame very nicely for those so inclined. Overall the jacket is rated VG (due to the 6" seam split). A new re-sealable clear poly outer sleeve will be provided. Vinyl and jacket are separated for shipping and bubble wrapped and shipped in heavy duty record mailer.
