Description
Available here is a 12" vinyl LP by Neil Young - Harvest. This version is a Dutch incarnation in cream vinyl, issued by Reprise in 1972 with the catalogue number REP 44 131. The record was manufactured in Holland but the inner lyric sheet and outer gatefold sleeve states made in Germany. Side Two also prints "mono" on the inner label (no printed format on Side One) but to my ears at least, it’s clearly a stereo recording. Cover spine also states stereo.
Identifiers - Presumed Dutch 1st pressing, the record has the following marks -
Matrix / Runout - Side A - Stamped - VR 20339-1A-1
Matrix / Runout - Side B - Stamped - VR 20339-1B-1
Both sides also have an additional etched string of numbers but so indistinct I’d be guessing and almost certainly wide of the mark with whatever I come up with.
Vinyl Condition - Excellent- - The record is extremely bright and clean and looks almost unplayed. It’s not always easy to spot marks on coloured vinyl but this one does appear spotless. Having listened to the record, I can confirm that there is no jumping or sticking, although the odd click may be heard. Background crackle/noise is almost non-existent but if heard occasional and quite low level.
Sleeve Condition - Excellent - Original gatefold outer cover with light signs of wear but no damage. Inner artwork/lyric sheet is almost comparable with a couple of small marks and a little edge creasing. Record sleeve is plain white, die-cut, and presumably as issued.
