Description
The original vinyl pressing of Neil Young's Harvest Moon from 1992, this was pressed on the Reprise label by Warner Music in Germany for distribution across Europe. I had to place a special order for it at the time, so I'm assuming that it wasn't pressed or distributed in massive quantities.
I transferred this LP straight to cassette when first purchased, so the record has only been played twice, and one of those plays was to grade it for this auction.
The sleeve, in common with most records from Warner Music's german plant in this period, is made from relatively thin card which is especially susceptible to damage. There was already a dent in the bottom right corner when I received it (which also affected the inner sleeve), and it has picked up other signs of wear around the edges over the years from various home moves. However, considering the inherent manufacturing flaw, it still looks pretty good. Likewise, the inner sleeve was made from very thin paper and shows slight discolourment and wear. However, not bad all-in-all. Both outer and inner sleeve have no rips or tears.
The record is still in the same condition as when new. It wasn't pressed on very thick vinyl, so does have some inherent surface noise, but nothing intrusive which distracts during the tracks. No major scratches or marks. It sounds great on my valve amp. All-in-all, this doesn't seem to turn up often, so an essential purchase for anyone wishing to hear "Harvest Moon" on Neil's preferred format!

All records tested on Technics record deck on National Panasonic SGE5090 Music Centre, through Sennheiser HD497 headphones.

All items sent by Royal Mail 1st Class Standard in the UK. I have not found any problems using this service generally, but I appreciate that other people prefer to use recorded delivery.
