Description

This is one of the rarest of Neil Young collectibles, the unreleased 1995 HDCD pressing of Neil Young's 1973 live album TIME FADES AWAY. There were supposedly only 25 or so of these test pressings made, along with the other unreleased Young albums, JOURNEY THROUGH THE PAST, ON THE BEACH, AMERICAN STARS & BARS, HAWKS & DOVES, REACTOR. The latter four were eventually released in 2003 but because he was disturbed by his vocals and ramshackle playing, Young held off releasing TFA until he finally relented  and put it out as part of a box set last year.
But this is the original silver HDCD copy from 1995, very rare. And while others came in a typical glass clamshell CD this one is in a mini-lp format, similar to the actual lp, the only known one of its kind. It also features a lyric sheet. It is extremely rare and has gone for as high as $700.00!
