Here's a DMM (Direct Metal Mastering) specialty 1st pressing copy of Neil Young's excellent album "Freedom". A brief explanation of DMM: records are typically produced with a "soft master" known as a lacquer, then sprayed with a final coat of a silver compound to create electroplating on the master. DMM masters ate cut directly to a copper coated aluminum disc. In the long run, DMM copies tend to have a much better sound, though some say it has too much high end. This copy of Neil Young's Freedom is a DMM and sounds fabulous, though it does have some background noise typical of used vinyl (and we have not yet done a "sold" deep cleaning yet). "Wrecking Ball" has a mark on it that, towards the end of the song, does cause a small amount of background popping. Otherwise, while this is now clean and shiny with good color still, it has several sleeve marks, and since Neil often has half an album of quieter material, you will hear some playback sound. NO skipping, we have play tested it, and listened to "Wrecking Ball" twice, no problems other than mentioned. The LP is wrapped in the original photo / lyric sleeve. The cover has just a hint of ring wear, good edges, and some minor corner bumping / rounding. NO splitting, NO holes, saw marks, or cut corner, and it has a very legible spine. Middling VG+ copy with just some minor background noise that may be reduced after we do a deep clean with an enzyme. Sorry to our regulars, I have had some physical issues that have impeded me from posting much lately, I'll try harder lol. Like you, I buy vinyl on eBay for my own collection, and am so often disappointed from inaccurate descriptions & fuzzy pictures. We aren't one of those sellers!    We've been selling on eBay for awhile now, having stopped for a slew of surgeries and now retired from employment because of it. So, we're opening up a record store where it will be easier for me to stay active with my issues, and all proceeds from sales of our (mostly rare / scarce) vinyl goes towards making our store a reality (building records racks now, and our CD racks are full!). We use official LP mailers with the record outside the cover, and in clean white sleeves separately from any photo inner sleeves. All vinyl is cleaned with an enzyme spray then finished with a SpinClean Machine. With sealed vinyl, please understand that we will only accept returns if the LP is still sealed, which is for our financial protection as well as yours.
