Description
You are bidding on a NEIL YOUNG "ZUMA" album (12" 33 1/3 rpm vinyl). Released on Reprise Records in 1975 (MS 2242) - this is the original American pressing. Band was Crazy Horse: Neil Young, vocals, guitars - Billy Talbot, bass - Ralph Molina, drums - Jack Nitsche, piano, plus others! See the photos for the track listing.
Produced by David Briggs & Neil Young, this might be Young's best album. A great disc! Vinyl is near mint, cover excellent. The cover and lyric sheet are printed on uncoated, textured (laid finish) stock. Also contains the original inner sleeve, lyric sheet and the original 1976 review from Rolling Stone Magazine.
Robert Christgau's review: Zuma [Reprise, 1975] Young has violated form so convincingly over the past three years that this return may take a little getting used to. In fact, its relative neatness and control--relative to Y, not C, S, N, etc.--compromises the sprawling blockbuster cuts, "Danger Bird" and "Cortez the Killer." But the less ambitious tunes--"Pardon My Heart," say--are as pretty as the best of After the Gold Rush, yet very rough. Which is a neat trick. A- (grade)"
