Even if Journey to the Centre of the Eye isn't the most respected album by Nektar it's still totally awesome in every way. Some people like to consider Nektar as a krautrock group because the band was formed in Germany. But the members of the band are all from the UK which is the reason why I don't think this band was part of the krautrock movement.

The sound of the album is a really nice mix of space rock and progressive rock with some psychedelic elements. "Astronauts Nightmare" and "Burn Out My Eyes" are both just perfect and the shorter songs are all impressive too. This album and this whole band actually are way too unknown these days. They delivered some of the finest progressive rock music in the early 1970's.
