Description
Nektar was a special band that mixed together Prog Rock, Acid Rock and Space Rock to create a very unique sound and add in the distinctive vocals of Roye Albrighton and that made them really stand out from many other bands. This Rare Vinyl LP is called Journey to the Centre of the Eye and is the debut album from English progressive rock band Nektar which came out in 1971. Though formally divided into 13 tracks, the entire album consists of a single continuous piece of music, with some musical themes that are repeated throughout the work. Because of its narrative nature, it has been called a rock opera and/or dense concept album. The story follows an astronaut who, while on a voyage to Saturn, encounters aliens who take him to their galaxy, where he is suffused with knowledge and wisdom. It is usually interpreted as a commentary on the nuclear arms race. This album features great songs like "Astronaut's Nightmare" , "The Nine Lifeless Daughters of the Sun", "Warp Oversight" ,"The Dream Nebula I & II" , "It's All in the Mind" , "Burn Out My Eyes" and "Pupil of the Eye" !
The Cover is in Excellent condition(see pictures), The vinyl is in Very Good Plus condition on one side and Very Good condition on the other side(several tiny light sleeve marks and light scratches), but still sounds great!
