"NEPAL" folk music in the original version performed by nepalese people
The album presents different pieces of folk music from Nepal in the original version of local artists.
Has not much in common with jazz music but echoes of this kind of music can be found in the works
of many jazz musicians for whom it was an inspiration.
Therefore was released in a series of jazz albums by Polish Jazz Association.
Recorded live at Studio of Radio Nepal in Katmandu

A brief discussion of the tracks for english-speaking people:
Side A
1) Song from the region Pokhara - performed by large team of regional instruments
2) Song of Nepal - sung by male choir with accompaniment of drums and stringed instrument
3) Love Song of Krishna and Radhika - inspired by the old religious songs
4) Song of Lament - woman singing with accompaniment of string instrument and drum
5) Instrumental music based on an old religious tradition - the basic instruments are drums and flutes
Side B
1) Song of Western Nepal - woman singing with accompaniment of the band of regional instruments
2) Wedding Song - a ritual from eastern Nepal
3) Song of the Himalayas - sings in the local dialect duo of two men with accompaniment of the band of regional instruments
4) Song from Eastern Nepal - woman singing solo with the accompaniment of a large instrumental ensemble
5) Melody from Kathmandu Valley - flute solo with the accompaniment of drums

Condition:
Record - Near Mint , probably quite new or only few times been played, there are no visible signs of use.
Cover - Very Good , slight signs of use and storage.
It is rather primitive cover from the communist era in Poland.
Made by simple means from poor materials, because almost nothing was not available.
Such were the times in the communist country. But it has its charm now :-)
