Neurosis' 2000 (the year, that is) release "Sovereign". This is the description Hydra Head gives... "Recorded by Steve Albini in the same sessions as the milestone Times of Grace album, this collection of songs is something of a lost classic on par with, and perhaps even exceeding its counterpart, Sovereign contains some of Neurosis' darkest and strangest material, as well as their most melodic and spacious." Yep, that's pretty darn accurate. This was a limited edition release for Record Store Day 2011 on red/black swirled vinyl. The store where I bought it sold out of these rather quickly. I only listened to this once and I am going to seriously miss this record because I never got a chance to let it sink in any more than it already had. I'm almost sorry that I am putting it up for sale but, well...
