Description
NEW 801 Live - Collector's Edition (2-180 gram Vinyl LPs VIN180LP022)
* One of the best live albums of all time. Recorded in 1976 * Manzanera is one of the most influential guitarists in rock. * 180 Gram vinyl. Heavy stock sleeve. Remastered from the original tapes. * Album contains the original live album, plus a bonus disc of the same tracks recorded in a studio rehearsal. ''With his own floating 801 entourage, Manzanera has created one of the last - and best - psychedelic bands in the world. The band emerges not only tight but spontaneous, and the ensemble texture is rich and explosive, like the finest from the Sixties groups.'' (Rolling Stone)
''The outfit, 801, were formed in 1976 simply to play a few gigs for fun; fortunately, they recorded a great live album en route. Eno (at the peak of his ''pop'' mode) handles most of the vocals, and ''Tomorrow Never Knows'' is pure magic.'' (Uncut)
Limited edition and very hard to find in vinyl format, especially in "new" condition!
TRACKS 1. Lagrima 2. T. N. K. (Tomorrow Never Knows) 3. East of Asteroid 4. Rongwrong 5. Sombre Reptiles 6. Baby's on Fire 7. Diamond Head 8. Miss Shapiro 9. You Really Got Me 10. Third Uncle (Program is the same on both discs, one recorded live and the other recorded in the studio)
