THE NEW GUINEA SCENE 12" 33rpm Vinyl Record Australia or NZ. 1968(?). Viking label. VP-318 ~~~~~ According to the label 'popular selections of Papua New Guinea music as played by the top bands and singers of New Guinea'. Recorded by the ABC, featuring bands The Kopy Kats, The Freebeats and The Stalemates, playing covers including The Monkees, Sir Douglas Quintet and Manfred Man - British beat stuff.  Also features originals in English and Pidgin. Not the most outstanding recording, but an interesting and rare obscurity. ~~~~~ TRACKS

CONDITION Sleeve is VG+ (No seam splits. Touch of ring mark on back. and some age discoloration. Gloss front cover) . Vinyl is VG+ (Great gloss. Few feint marks. Plays well with full fidelity). Labels are EX (Few light spindle marks. Doesn't appear to have been played often).  

Records play tested using Rega RP3 turntable with revealing Garrott K3 cartridge.
