THE NEW JAZZ ORCHESTRA - Le Dejeuner Sur L'herbe
Sparingly played with the gleaming vinyl and superb sound quality being true highlights
Truly excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - completely flat and retaining an impressive jet black sheen. Virtually unmarked and even with close inspection under a bright light the only identifiable marks are a single very, very faint 3-4cm shadow line on side 1 and a couple of small and even fainter paper scuffs on each side - irrelevant! Excellent plus (EX+) condition labels with just 2 or 3 small and extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each, otherwise perfect. A solid very good (VG) condition front-side laminated and flipback Garrod & Lofthouse outer sleeve with firm edges - no scuffing except for three mild scuff marks on the bottom edge (see photo). The spine remains rigid with all spine text remaining perfectly intact. Each corner has a little rubbing, more noticeable and with a 0.5cm edge split at the bottom right hand corner, and there is the occasional very light surface laminate crease but (most importantly) no cardboard creasing. The reverse side is in very good plus condition with each flipback in great shape and just a few very small and very light handling/storage marks. There is barely any ring wear and the sleeve remains highly presentable and, of course, fully functional. Do take a close look at my photos for a full appraisal. Excellent plus (EX+) stereo audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, distortion, interference or background crackle. On side 2 I noticed four random and isolated very light "clicks" but close inspection of the vinyl revealed no obvious cause so I can only put this down to the odd speck of dust caught in the grooves through decades of upright storage. Basically, crystal clear stereo sound quality throughout with every track a great listen, and no wonder with the likes of jazz luminaries Harold Beckett, Ian Carr, Michael Gibbs, Derek Wadsworth, Dick Heckstall-Smith, Jack Bruce, and Jon Hiseman each at the top of their game! Clearly this is a record that has been only sparingly played. Comes with original "MADE IN ENGLAND" plain white inner sleeve with some age discolouration and a 9cm seam split in on one side edge. Note that I always ship in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. UK 1st pressings of this jazz gem are now very hard to come by, especially with the condition of the vinyl and sound quality as truly impressive as this.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
