Description
This is an overall fine copy from a 1983 U.K. reissue of a 1981 12" single by British group New Order. The group re-recorded their debut single, "Ceremony," after their new fourth member, Gillian Gilbert, joined them, and the new version was issued in a different jacket than the first version -- same design, but different color scheme. This copy comes in the second version. However, the version of "Ceremony" on this copy is the first one (I can confirm as I play-tested the record). I've seen mention of copies of the second version being issued in the first version jacket (because they evidently ran out of the second version jacket), but not vice versa. This copy has the runout etchings of the 1983 MVS pressing per Discogs; but these same etchings on the A side, per the Wikipedia article on the record, denote the first version ("watching love grow -- forever"). You be the judge. Anyway, the record was stored in a box that was damaged during a move, and as a result the jacket has substantial creasing in one corner (see photo), a long crease in a second corner, and light creasing along the spine, though it's otherwise close to pristine -- overall VG(+). The disc, by contrast, is clean, and plays with minimal surface noise (M-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
