Description
NEW ORDER Low-Life 1985 Qwest 1st US Press 1-25289 Tracing Paper Wrap LP
This is Low-Life, released in 1985 on Qwest Records. The album documents New Order at a defining mid-1980s moment, balancing post-punk structure with electronic and dance-oriented production. Tracks such as “The Perfect Kiss,” “Love Vigilantes,” “Sub-culture,” and “Elegia” are central to the group’s catalog and to the era’s alternative sound.
This is an original U.S. first pressing. It includes the original translucent tracing-paper title wrap that runs vertically around the jacket, a component that is frequently missing. The original printed inner sleeve is also present.
This record was pressed at Specialty Records Corporation, identified by the SRC stamp in the deadwax. Lacquers were cut at Precision Mastering, with the “SM” initials in the runout, attributed to Sam Feldman. Precision-cut Specialty pressings from this period are well regarded for consistent vinyl quality and clean, punchy playback.
