Description

NEW ORDER – SUBSTANCE 1987

FACTORY RECORDS Fact 200

1987 UK PRESSED DOUBLE ALBUM

NON-EMBOSSED SLEEVE

ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATED INNERS

VERY NICE COPY

VINYL GRADES EX-: Maintains a bright sheen. Some very light surface marks evident but crucially nothing feelable or of detriment to the audio.

PLAY TESTING: Fully play tested. The album plays very well throughout with bright and vibrant audio and without obvious pops, clicks or repetitive ticks. Some occasional very low grade crackle/surface noise in gaps between tracks but nothing audible above the music. All sides are a great listen!

SLEEVE GRADES EX: Very nice general condition. Clean to front and back and without writing or sticker residues. A few signs of age but perfectly acceptable.

INNER SLEEVES: Original illustrated stiff card inners (probably accounts for some of the light surface marks). Both inners in excellent condition.

LABELS: All in good clean condition. Some very light spindle marking.

MATRIX: FACT-200-A1/B1/C1/D1 (also etched on respective sides in dead wax – GOODBYE DAVY PILS 27 12 78, THE PLEASURE AND THE PAIN, OF AN EXTENDED CHILDHOOD and STEVEN WON’T GO TO STOCKPORT). TOWNHOUSE DMM etched on all sides.

Very nice 2nd edition (the first had an embossed sleeve) of this great (and increasingly rare) compilation album from New Order. Maybe not Near Mint but not that far off and a more than very good copy. Great stuff!

Happy bidding!

At the moment I regret that I am only posting to the UK and just Paypal please. International postage considered, by prior arrangement only.

Please check my other listings, postal discounts for multiple buys always available.

Please be aware that the photos on my listings are always of the actual item and not stock shots. I always give a very honest (if somewhat conservative) description of the item. Whilst not being a professional trader (I am a retired music librarian and longtime record collector), items will be packed using only the best of materials and posted within 48 hours of payment. Please see my feedback for independent views.

For your information the gradings I use are as follows:-

Mint (M) - Brand New (Sealed)

Near mint (NM) - Looks almost unplayed * Cover almost brand new

Excellent (EX) - Maybe a light scuff but otherwise great condition * Cover will have some wear/slight crease/faint ring wear etc

Very good (VG) - Could have scuffing and some light scratches etc *Cover might have some creasing/fading/ring wear/marks or writing but still reasonable condition

Good (G)  - Should play through ok but will have plenty of scratches etc * Cover could be ripped/stained/unglued etc

Fair - Very ordinary/ Might play but most likely just for the collection* Cover will be pretty terrible.

+, ++ or - (minus) after the grading denote variations within the grade.
