Description
The product is a vinyl LP debut album by New Order titled "Movement," released in 1981 on the Factory Records label. This record is a 12" in size and made of vinyl, showcasing the Gothic Punk/Rock genre. It is an original pressing with the catalog title Fact. 50, and it comes with a bonus 45 record. The debut album marked the transition of the band members from Joy Division to New Order, laying down the foundation for their unique sound and musical evolution in the post-punk era. New Order are an English rock band formed in Salford in 1980 by vocalist and guitarist Bernard Sumner, bassist Peter Hook, and drummer Stephen Morris. Their fusion of post-punk, electronic and dance music made them one of the most acclaimed and influential bands of the 1980s.[1] The band regrouped after their previous band, Joy Division, disbanded following the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis.[2] Keyboardist Gillian Gilbert joined them later that year. They became the flagship band for Manchester-based independent record label Factory Records and its nightclub, The Haçienda, and worked in long-term collaboration with graphic designer Peter Saville for their album covers.
