Album Notes
The first Sigur R¢s album since 2008's Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust, Valtari is -- despite its English translation, "steamroller" -- a subtle, understated set in comparison to the Icelandic group's previous releases. Lead single "Ekki M£kk" is indicative of the album's glacial mode, drifting softly on strings, piano, and slight atmospheric textures.
