Description

Ongoing sale of selected items from my personal collection of vinyl and CDs, the vast majority of which have been owned by me from new and have been safely stored in a smoke-free home. I try to describe each item as accurately as possible and therefore don't routinely accept returns but I'm happy to offer a no quibble refund in the unlikely event that significant defects are found which were not called out in the listing.

This item....

  • Rare first UK pressing of New York Dolls iconic debut LP
  • Unlike later copies the sleeve is laminated front and back
  • No printed inner sleeve but according to Dolls collectors and biographers an inner was never included with the first UK pressing - this copy comes with the original polyliner which has the catalogue number in pen on one corner (presumably written by the first retailer)     
  • Label / catalogue number - Mercury 6338 270
  • Matrices - 1//2 4201 1 / 2//2 4201 1 2
Condition notes.... 
  • The vinyl has a couple of light marks but plays excellent throughout - I just detected a couple of isolated pops/clicks and the tiniest bit of light crackle between some tracks
  • Both labels have faint spindle marks but no other flaws of note
  • The cover is in great condition with just a few tiny creases on the edges, a bit of wear on the top and bottom edge, and a faint ring mark visible when angled to the light - certainly a very strong EX
  • Overall I doubt there are many better copies of this item currently available for sale     
Postage notes.... 
  • Records will be dispatched in a high quality custom mailer
  • Unless the item is new and still sealed I'll remove the record from both the outer sleeve and any printed inner in order to prevent seam splits in transit  
  • UK - I'll combine postage if buying more than one item - please wait for invoice
  • Rest of the world - Please note that I only sell overseas via ebay's Global Shipping Programme, which sets postages rates and does not appear to include the facility to combine p&p costs for multiple purchases. Please don't bid if you're not prepared to accept  GSP costs or process - thanks
