The Hot Icon of Summer f(x) Comebacks! 2nd Full-length Album ‘Pink Tape’ Goes on Sale on July 29!

On July 29, f(x) will make their comeback releasing their second full-length album, ‘Pink Tape’.

This album marks the comeback of f(x) after over a year since ‘Electric Shock’ that shocked the music industry last year. It is also their second full-length album, and thus it is expected to excite music fans around the world who waited for new music and performance of f(x).

f(x) has been recognized for their unique and experimental music style since their debut song ‘La chA TA’, as well as ‘Chu~?’, ‘NU ABO’, ‘Danger’, ‘Hot Summer’, and ‘Electric Shock’. Their new album is made up of a total of twelve tracks of various genres that will also display the unique personality, skills and charms of the five members of f(x), and it is expected to be a hot issue once again.

In addition, the title of the second full-length album ‘Pink Tape’ to its art film, jacket image, album package and music were all organically connected under the motif of ‘first love’. It will offer a special experience as if to watch a romance flick where fans can enjoy the unique colors of f(x).

True First Love That Comes Late Like Wisdom Teeth! Title Song ‘Rum Pum Pum Pum’

The title song, ‘Rum Pum Pum Pum’ is a pop dance that combines mysterious and addictive guitar sounds with an impressive and exciting percussion rhythm. The marching band sounds give more rhythm to the song and the lyrics of ‘rum pum pum pum’ create a bright ambience.

The lyrics used wisdom teeth as a metaphor of first love. It makes a unique comparison of first love with wisdom teeth that finds its way by pushing away other teeth and finally growing in its place. Thus, this song is more than enough to experience the charms of f(x), who are loved for their experimental and unique music colors.

Issue-making Track Used in the Art Film ‘Shadow’

The track ‘Shadow’, which drew attention by being used in the art film in the announcement of their comeback, is a lovely alternative pop song, and cleverly depicts the story of a shadow that fell in love with its owner.

‘Goodbye Summer’ Composed by Amber and ‘No More’ Written by Dana

This album contains a track titled ‘Goodbye Summer’ that has an acoustic ambience and was composed by Amber for the first time. This song, which talks about a girl and a boy who had crushes on each other but did not express their feelings and finally reminisce the past and regret it, is highlighted by the featuring of EXO-K’s D.O, to which Amber, Luna and Krystal featured for in the past.

In addition, the retro-soul genre ‘No More’ was written by Dana of The Grace. It is highlighted by its musical-like lyrics that talks about an irritating friend. ‘Pretty Girl’, which has impressive dream-like sounds in the refrain, satirizes women lacking character and only flaunting their looks by comparing it with a fairy tale.

Also, the electronic dance song ‘Kick’ containing stories about girls headed towards their dreams on skateboards, ‘Signal’, which is a vintage electronica track accentuated with sensual lyrics, and ‘Step’, which expresses the busy women of today giving up their pretty high heels and running on gym shoes, all demonstrate f(x)’s ability to perfectly synthesize all lyrics and music into their own distinctive color.
