Description
NEWK'S TIME / Sonny Rollins BLUE NOTE 4001. The lp has RVG stamps on both sides. Side one has a clean clear Plastylite ear. The ear on side 2 is not as cleanly defined. I have included scans of the 2 ears for your review. Visually, the LP has a number of very light scratches, nothing deep or feelable, but there are definitely many light scratches. I would visually grade this VG-. I listened to the entire lp. I expected more light background noise but the lp sounded mostly clean. I could hear some light background noise between songs and I made note of several clicks I heard during the music. On "Asiatic Raes" there were 2 consecutive clicks near the end of the song. On "Blues For Philly Joe", there are 2 clicks at the beginning of the song and one click during the piano solo. On "Namely You" there are 2 clicks within the first 10 seconds of the song. There was no problem with noise that interfered with the enjoyment of the music. The labels are in nice condition as can be seen in the scans. I will give the audio a VG+. The lp plays far better than it visually appears. The jacket is clearly shown in the scans. The front is in decent shape with wear. There are no splits, but there are dings on the upper left, bottom left and bottom right corners. There is a very small amount of cracking along the bottom edge and a tiny amount of tape. The rear of the jacket has much writing in ink and a red magic marker X. The spine however is perfectly readable for storage. Please refer to the scans which will add to this description. My grading system is SEALED or MINT / NM / VG++ / VG+ / VG / G / F. (I do NOT use excellent (EX) as a grade). This is an auction for US residents only. No international shipping.
