Description
This is a fine original US pressing copy of the debut LP by British band the Nice, released in 1967. The Nice is most notable, of course, for featuring keyboardist Keith Emerson before he formed Emerson, Lake & Palmer. This record is the band's most pop-oriented; its only rock adaptation of a classical piece (which was to become their signature sound in subsequent releases) is a driving version of "Blue Rondo a la Turk" (retitled simply "Rondo"). The name "Emerlist Davjack" in the LP title is simply a mashup of the band members' last names. The jacket is close to M- with light ring, corner, spine, and seam wear (EX+). Visually, the disc is clean with a little light scuffing. It plays with some distracting crackling at the start of side 1, but otherwise close to M- with occasional light surface noise and a stray light pop -- overall EX. There is a name written in pen on one label.
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded discs except where otherwise noted.
