Description
This is a fine example of the LP 'Bryter Later' by Nick Drake.
It's on the UK Island label and features the pink rim label 'palm tree' design.
It's a stereo recording and the catalogue number is ILPS 9134. It was released originally in 1970 and is his second album. This is almost certainly a later pressing.
OUTER SLEEVE - The sleeve appears to be an original from 1970 and has a semi-gloss textured finish and is in fine condition. There is some minor ring wear and slight scuffing on the front and the rear. The edges and spine are in fine condition with some wear. The wording along the spine is 100% readable. I've graded the sleeve Ex-.
INNER BAG - It's a typical Island company die cut paper type with an inner polythene sleeve. It states at the bottom of one side in blue print - 'British Patent No. 800513 & 973939 MADE IN ENGLAND 28 / 0770'. It is in great condition and has been graded Ex+.
RECORD - The record is in fine condition. It appears to have been played only a few times and looks very glossy. There are some very superficial marks on either side which do not affect the quality. It plays very well on both sides with some minor surface noise and some very occasional pops and clicks on both sides. These blemishes do not detract from the overall quality of record. There are no jumps on any of the tracks on either side.
LABELS - The labels feature the Island multi-coloured 'pink rim' palm tree design. It states on the labels 'All songs written by Nick Drake - Published by Warlock Music - Produced by Joe Boyd for Witchseason Productions'. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are - side one - ILPS - 9134 - A2 - side two - ILPS - 9134 - B2. I've graded the record as Ex which I believe is very fair.
